In the church of the village of Terenkul they honored the memory of the holy martyr Konstantin Slovtsovtranslated

A festive Liturgy took place in the church in honor of the Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles in the village of Terenkul. The service was dedicated to the day of memory of the holy martyr Konstantin Slovtsov and coincided with the celebration of the memory of the prophet of God Elijah. This service became special: for the first time, the Liturgy in Terenkul was celebrated on a Sunday. Previously, services were held only on weekdays. About 30 people gathered for a common prayer: local residents and parishioners of the Chelyabinsk Church of the Martyr John the Warrior. The rector of the temple, Priest Pavel Kurbatov, dedicated a sermon to the holy martyr Konstantin Slovtsov, whose life is closely connected with Terenkul. The future priest spent his childhood in this village. His mother worked in the temple prosphora, and his elder brother was first a psalm-reader, then a deacon. The future saint graduated from the Tobolsk Theological Seminary and was ordained in 1912. Despite persecution, he did not leave his flock. On August 2, 1918, the holy martyr accepted a martyr’s death, remaining faithful to Christ to the end. Another important event was the completion of the installation of fencing on the temple grounds.
