First-graders were supported in the church in the city of Uzhurtranslated

On September 22, on the day of remembrance of the righteous Joachim and Anna, parishioners of the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in the city of Uzhur offered prayers to the righteous Godfather Joachim and Anna. The charity event “Going to School with Joy” was timed to coincide with this day, organized by the parish together with the aid group “Lampadka”. First grade kits have been prepared for schoolchildren.

Presenting gifts, the rector of the church, Archpriest Pavel Tretyakov, reminded the children that knowledge is a gift from God, and study is the main work and obedience. The priest urged the children to approach lessons with attention and a kind heart, to help those who are behind and to respect teachers, and in difficulties not to despair, but to turn to the Lord and their parents for help. Father Pavel also blessed the children for the new school year.
