A bridge along Oktyabrskaya Street was opened in the city of Polotsktranslated

On July 3, in a festive atmosphere, traffic was opened on the bridge on the street. Oktyabrskaya. With the blessing of Bishop Ignatius of Polotsk and Glubokoe, the secretary of the Polotsk diocese, Archpriest Alexander Petlitsky, was present at the celebration.

This is a long-awaited event for Polotsk residents: city residents have been following the progress of the work for almost a year and a half, noting significant changes and looking forward to its opening.

Representatives of public organizations and labor collectives of the region arrived at the celebration. Guests of honor were also present - Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Rogozhnik, Chairman of the Polotsk Regional Executive Committee Vasily Shilov.

After the consecration ceremony, the guests of honor cut the symbolic red ribbon, giving the start to the movement.

The right to be the first to cross the updated bridge was given to students of the cycling department of Polotsk Sports School No. 2. New vehicles were among the first to try out the new bridge covering.

This bridge, which is an important artery of the city, underwent a large-scale reconstruction that lasted more than a year. During this time, the residents of Polotsk followed each stage of the work with close attention, watching how the structures took on a new life, and eagerly anticipating...
