With the blessing of Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky, the Center for Training of Church Specialists of the Simbirsk Diocese begins recruiting applicants in the following areas:

– Pastoral department.

Male persons of the Orthodox faith who subsequently wish to take holy orders are accepted. The form of training is evening-full-time. The duration of study is three years.

– Church specialist of a single profile.

Graduates will be able to serve as missionaries, catechists, Sunday school teachers, social workers and youth workers. The form of training is evening-full-time. The duration of training is two years.

– Church singing department.

Orthodox Christians are accepted who wish to further serve in the choir obedience (chanter, reader). The form of training is evening-full-time. The duration of study is three years.

Required documents for applicants to the pastoral department:

Hi, interesting announcement. I would like to know if the church singing section accepts someone who has already been singing in the pew for several years, but has no special education. Three years in the evening seems doable after work.

Yes, I think they accept you without problems if you have experience at the bench - many come precisely with practice, not with a diploma.
