The Don Theological Seminary will host an open online lecture as part of the course “Theology of Social Ministry”translated

On September 16, 2026, an open online lecture will be held at the Don Theological Seminary as part of the course “Theology of Social Ministry”, implemented in the master’s program “Social Ministry of the Russian Orthodox Church”.

The lecture will be given by the author of the course - Archpriest Timofey Fetisov, Doctor of Theology, Associate Professor, Rector of the Don Theological Seminary.

The course “Theology of Social Ministry” is aimed at developing the theological foundation of diaconal activity. The course examines social service as an integral component of the life of the Church, rooted in dogmatic teaching and patristic heritage.

The lecture will be held in a remote format and will be available to master’s students, employees of diocesan social departments, leaders and volunteers of the sisterhoods of mercy, as well as anyone interested in issues of social service of the Church.
