On the day of remembrance of St. Mitrofan of Voronezh, Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Mitrofan Church in the village of Popovo, Krasnoarmeysky district. Concelebrating with the ruling bishop were the rector of the church, the secretary of the Chelyabinsk diocese, Archpriest Igor Shestakov, the dean of the Miass-Rural Deanery, Priest Evgeniy Novokreshchinov, the dean of the Kopeisko-Korkino Deanery, Priest Nikolai Nevzorov, and other clergy. The hymns of the service were performed by the Bishop's Choir under the direction of regent Marina Goman. After the Liturgy, the clergy and believers walked around the church in a procession of the cross. Vladyka Alexy blessed the fruits of the new harvest of the residents and congratulated everyone on the patronal holiday. In his sermon, Metropolitan Alexy noted the special beauty of the ancient church and how well thought out its architecture was - with love for God and those who gather within these walls for prayer. “We are glad that the church is being restored. Maybe with the restoration of the church, the Lord will hear your prayers and help so that life in the village will continue to improve.

There is no need to grumble, you just need to thank God. Thank God, we are alive and well, and there are many children in the village, and we are surrounded by such beauty. Let us trust in God's help...
