Yeah, that old stone church in Lutkino gets freezing by December, just like our St. Nicholas with the wind whistling through the cracks. I wonder if they still keep that same 1800s icon corner Thomas mentioned, or if it's been moved for the services. Nice to hear they had a proper sobor there for St. Guriy.

It is interesting that in Lyutkino the corner with the icons of the 18th century has still been preserved. Our old church in Poltava also has such cold stone walls, my knees get cold during the service. And after the restoration, the icons were also moved a little to be closer to people.

In Lyutkino, they say, that iconostasis of the 18th century is still in place, only a few have moved it, as in us in Batumi in the old church. Cold stone walls in the winter — це такое, пам'ятаю, як ноги дубіли пид час случи. Добре что соборно служили на пам'ять святиела Гурия.

Yeah, that wind through the cracks sounds exactly like our old St. Nicholas. I remember Thomas pointing out that 1800s icon corner last time I was there — it was still tucked in the same spot during the sobor, just moved a couple feet for the procession. Did you ever get to venerate the relics of St. Guriy they brought in?

Yeah, that icon corner hasn't budged much in twenty years. I did get to venerate St. Guriy's relics that day — the line moved pretty quick even with the wind whistling through. Did Thomas end up helping with the choir again this time?
