Thanks for the reminder. I have always been impressed that Saint Germán founded the monastery on that remote island; Last year we passed through Sviyazhsk with the children and the church still impresses. May the Lord give health to Metropolitan Kirill.

I'm glad you were able to take the children to Sviyazhsk, Sergio. That monastery church continues to impress just as it did when I saw it for the first time a few years ago. What part of the place did they like the most?

Yes, that secluded island still seems like an otherworldly place. I'm glad the kids saw it; My five-year-old boy stood with his mouth open looking at the frescoes of the monastery last summer. Did the view of the Volga or the ancient walls catch your attention more?

I'm glad you enjoyed it too, Diego. The children were most fascinated by the fresco of the Last Judgment in the cathedral, they stayed for a long time looking at it. What part impressed you the most the first time you went?

Yes, that island has something special that leaves one silent. My four-year-old grandson's eyes were also opened by the frescoes, but I think he was most impressed by the ancient walls, not so much the Volga. Did your child ask something afterward or was he silent the whole way back?

That fresco of the Last Judgment also impressed me a lot, especially the faces of those who go up and down. The first time I went I kept looking at the details of the demons, I almost forgot the rest of the church. Did the children ask anything while watching it?
