On July 18, 2026, on the feast of the discovery of the honorable relics of St. Sergius, abbot of Radonezh, Metropolitan Theodosius of Samara and Novokuibyshevsk served with His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' at the Divine Liturgy in the Holy Trinity Lavra of Sergius. The festive service was held on the Cathedral Square of the monastery in front of the revered icon of St. Sergius of Radonezh. A throne was installed in the canopy in front of the Dormition Cathedral of the Lavra. Concelebrating with His Holiness were permanent members of the Holy Synod, heads of metropolises, chairmen of synodal institutions, Metropolitan Theodosius of Samara and Novokuibyshevsk, and a host of bishops and clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church. Representatives of the Local Orthodox Churches also took part in the service: Metropolitan Niphon of Philippopolis, representative of the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East under the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus'; Bishop Stefan of Remesia, representative of the Patriarch of Serbia; Archimandrite Seraphim (Shemyatovsky), representative of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia; Archpriest Daniil Andreyuk, representative of the Orthodox Church in America.
