On July 18, 2026, on the feast of the discovery of the honorable relics of St. Sergpius, abbot of Radonezh (1422), His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the Cathedral Square of the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra. The solemn service was performed in front of the revered icon of St. Sergius of Radonezh. To celebrate the festive all-night vigil and Divine Liturgy, a platform was built on Cathedral Square, and a throne under a canopy was built in front of the Dormition Cathedral of the Lavra.
