A meeting with active parishioners and older generation church workers was organized in the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in the city of Nizhnekamsk (Tatarstan) as part of the celebration of the International Day of Older Persons. Gathered at the common table are those who have been actively involved in the life of the parish for many years, helping in the church, supporting common endeavors and through their work making an important contribution to parish life.

The meeting became another opportunity to say words of gratitude to the people whose work, participation and care have remained an important part of the life of the parish for many years, reports the public of the Chistopol diocese on the social network VKontakte. The rector of the church, Archpriest Alexander Kolcherin, thanked those gathered for their many years of work, care for the church and devotion to the parish community. He noted that it is largely thanks to their efforts, experience and concern that good traditions are preserved and many parish affairs continue.

During the meeting, they also discussed the work already done and outlined plans for the future. The creative part was decorated with poems of Svetlana Appakova’s own composition and a musical performance by Tatyana Patrikeeva.
