A new shrine has appeared in the Chelyabinsk Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ - the icon of St. Spyridon of Trimythoustranslated

The image of the great saint of God was presented to Chelyabinsk residents by representatives of the Greek delegation who accompanied the right hand of Spyridon of Trimifuntsky on trips around the country. The relics of the saint along with the icon were brought to Russia on August 17 from the island of Corfu. The shrines traveled to several cities, and on September 9 they arrived in Chelyabinsk, where over 50 thousand people venerated St. Spyridon in two days. The Greek monks were so touched by the warm welcome and love of the South Urals for Saint Spyridon that they left his icon in Chelyabinsk. You can pray in front of the holy image every day - it is constantly located in the lower church of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ. CDRO Chelyabinsk Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.
