A religious procession will be held in Chelyabinsk on the feast of the South Ural saintstranslated

On October 11, the day when the Orthodox Church celebrates the Council of Saints of the Chelyabinsk Metropolis, a citywide religious procession will take place. In the prayer procession, believers will walk from the Golden Mountain memorial to the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ. Golden Mountain is a special place on the map of Chelyabinsk. The South Urals repressed in the 30s of the 20th century rest here in a common mass grave. Among them is the holy martyr Vasily Nosov, who was executed in 1937. All Chelyabinsk saints shared the fate of those who suffered from the godless authorities in our country. On the day of their memory, the people of South Urals will gather to glorify the new martyrs, demonstrate unity and strong faith. At 7:30 the participants of the religious procession gather in the parking lot near the Tractor aircraft. From there, buses will take citizens to Golden Mountain. Clergy will perform a litany at the Golden Mountain Memorial at 8:30 a.m. At 9:00 the procession to the Cathedral of the Nativity will begin. At 10:00 – Divine Liturgy in the lower church of the Cathedral of the Nativity. The service will be performed by the bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church.
