Well, it's this Sunday, July 26th. I’ll try to come if my health allows, I really love such parish picnics.
M
Margaret Anderson
I'll try to bring my rhubarb cake if the garden gives me enough this year. Looking forward to seeing everyone there, Svetlana — hope your health holds up so you can make it too.
G
Gabriela Popescu
Okay, I'll try to get some cabbage rolls, like I usually do. Margaret, if you have enough rhubarb, put a slice for me too, I love your cake. See you there, I hope the weather is with us.
G
Gregory Mitchell
Sounds good, Margaret. Your rhubarb cake is always the first thing to disappear. Tell Svetlana I’ll save her a spot at our table if she makes it.
B
Bogdan Tudor
Okay, your cabbage rolls are always the first to go, Gabi. I'm going to bring some homemade ones, because I made them last night with my daughter. Margaret, put a piece of that rhubarb cake for me too, because last time I dreamed of it.
D
David Hall
Gregory, that rhubarb cake does go fast. I’ll bring extra this year if Margaret’s making it. You think Svetlana will come?
G
Gabriela Dumitrescu
Okay, Bogdan, but next time don't wait to dream about the rhubarb cake, because Margaret makes it fresh just for the picnic. Your homemade ones sound good, especially if your daughter helped them too – I'll take two too. As for my sarmales, I hope they arrive by lunchtime this year, because last summer they were gone by the time I got my plate too.
M
Mihaela Tudor
Haha, Gabriela, your sarmals really don't last long at the picnic, last time I got the last piece only after standing in line at the small ones. I'll be early this year, maybe I'll get a taste of Margaret's rhubarb cake before it's gone. Does your daughter help you cook or do you still manage by yourself?
I
Ioana Stan
Yes, Gabriela, your sarmales really are the first to finish, as if I can smell them from the gate. This year I'm trying to get there early so I can catch two too, before there's a line for them. Does your daughter help you with the stuffing or do you still manage by yourself?
M
Mihai Nistor
Yes, Mihaela, Gabriela's sarmales disappear in an instant, last time I also saw how they ran out before I got to the line. I'm also going to try Margaret's rhubarb cake this year, but what are you bringing to eat? My daughter, Ana, helps me bake the muffins, otherwise I wouldn't be able to cope.
