Church bell ringers are invited to participate in a video bell ringing festivaltranslated

The video festival of bell ringing, dedicated to the revival of the cultural heritage of Rus', invites church bell ringers to present their skills. Video recordings will be accepted from October 1 to October 31, 2026. Participation is free.

The festival is aimed at preserving and developing the art of Orthodox bell ringing, introducing a wide audience to its history and local traditions. The organizers also strive to support the creative development of bell ringers, promote the exchange of experience between representatives of different dioceses and attract young people to the study of bell art.

Participants will be able to record the ringing of the bell towers of the churches where obedience is carried out. This format allows you to demonstrate your skills in a familiar setting and introduce the online audience to the sound of the bells of your church.

The submitted videos will be reviewed by the heads of four bell ringing schools. The most interesting works will be selected for publication on thematic Internet resources.

The announcement of the winners is scheduled for November 22. According to the organizers, it is dedicated to the 600th anniversary of the repose of St. Nikon, abbot of Radonezh, disciple of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
