Celebrations in honor of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God: Bishop Theognost took part in the festive servicestranslated

On July 9, celebrations dedicated to the day of memory of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God were held at the Alexander Nevsky Novo-Tikhvin Convent in the city of Yekaterinburg. On this day, the monastery celebrated its “name day,” and believers celebrated the 643rd anniversary of the acquisition of the holy image. Hundreds of people - residents and guests of the Ural capital - came to the monastery to offer prayers to the Most Holy Theotokos.

The central event of the holiday was the solemn Divine Liturgy. It was headed by the head of the Yekaterinburg Metropolis, Metropolitan of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye Evgeniy. Concelebrating with him, the service was performed by:
