The full text of the Synodal Tomos proclaiming the canonization of Saint Olympia from Fărcașa, presented on Saturday at the Fărcașa Parish in Neamț County, July 4, 2026:

Synodal Tomos of the Romanian Autocephalous Orthodox Church for the proclamation of the canonization of Saint Olympia from Fărcașa The Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church

To the Reverend Clergy, the Reverend Monk and the beloved

lay faithful from the Romanian Patriarchate,

Grace, peace and joy from God, and from Us, bishop's blessings!

It is truly a worthy and just thing to honor the memory of those who have accomplished themselves in holiness, who have gained boldness from God because of their virtuous life. The Most Holy Trinity ordained from eternity to make them worthy of the likeness of God, sharing with them the light of the grace of the Holy Spirit and placing them in the Church of the righteous, in the company of the saints.

About them, our Lord Jesus Christ tells us that, because they listened to His word, they became "His friends" (John 15, 14). The Church honors these saints with praises and songs, as the Prophet David says, inspired by God: "I greatly honored Your friends,...
