9 September, 15:00 (CET) Register here In a world marked by fragmentation, violence, forced migration, ecological crisis, and deep inequalities, companionship invites churches to move beyond distant solidarity toward a more embodied practice of walking together.

It’s interesting, this passage about the transition from “distant solidarity” to a more concrete practice of walking together. In our small parish, we already see this a little when we support Ukrainian families who arrived two years ago: we no longer just send a check, we share meals and daily worries. Perhaps I will go to the webinar on September 9 to see what Professor Enns says about the biblical foundations, it could help us better name what we are already experiencing.

Yeah, that shift from "distant solidarity" to actually walking together rings true. In our parish we've been driving Ukrainian families to appointments and sharing meals after Liturgy for the last couple of years, and it's made the whole thing less about sending stuff and more about just being there week after week. Looking forward to what Prof. Enns says on the biblical side.
