On August 26, a school-wide parent meeting was held at Ostrovets Secondary School No. 1. Among the invited guests, the meeting was attended by an employee of the Ostrovets Regional Emergency Situations Service, doctors of the Ostrovets Central District Hospital and the dean of the Ostrovets District, Archpriest Georgy Savitsky.

Father George told parents about the importance of family prayer and parental blessings, and also wished everyone a good school year.

Mulțumesc pentru știre. E bine că părintele Georgiy a vorbit despre rugăciunea în familie și binecuvântarea părinților, astea se uită ușor când începe școala. La noi în Constanța, la adunările de la parohie, același lucru se repetă mereu, dar ajută să-l auzi din nou.

Хорошо, что отец Георгий пришёл на собрание. У нас в Ярославле тоже иногда священники бывают на таких встречах, и всегда напоминают про домашнюю молитву перед учебой — это правда важно, а то в суете быстро забывается. Спасибо за новость.

Good to see Father Georgiy there in person. My niece's school in the suburbs never invites a priest to parent night, so it's nice they made the effort in Ostrovets. The bit about family prayer and blessing before the year starts is exactly what gets forgotten by September.
