The acceptance of creative works for participation in the XIII season of the International Children and Youth Literary Competition named after I.S. has started. Shmelev "Summer of the Lord"translated

With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the Publishing Council of the Russian Orthodox Church is holding the XIII season of the International Children and Youth Literary Competition named after Ivan Sergeevich Shmelev “The Summer of the Lord.”

The competition has international status, students of grades 6-11 of general education and Orthodox schools, gymnasiums and colleges in Russia, CIS countries and abroad are invited to participate, as well as students of Sunday schools and additional education institutions no older than 18 years.

The results are summarized in three age groups:

— 6-7 grades;

— 8-9 grades;

— 10-11 grades.

Literary creative works are accepted for the competition.

The thematic areas of the competition involve familiarity with historical research, classical and modern literary works that reflect the system of Orthodox values. In the new season, the thematic areas of the competition are dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the creation of the novel “Crime and Punishment” by F.M. Dostoevsky, the 150th anniversary of the birth of St. Luke of Crimea, the 90th anniversary of the birth of the writer V.G. Rasputin, as well as the theme of the feat and literature of the 19th century.
