Employees of the Amur Oncology Center were congratulated on Medical Worker Daytranslated

On June 19, on the eve of Medical Worker Day, the head of the missionary department of the Annunciation Diocese, Hieromonk Victorin (Selivanovsky), congratulated the employees of the Amur Regional Oncology Center on their professional holiday.

Addressing medical workers, the priest noted the special importance of the ministry of doctors and medical personnel who daily provide assistance to people going through difficult trials of the disease.

In his welcoming speech, Hieromonk Victorin spoke about the veneration of the icon of the Mother of God “The All-Tsarina,” in front of which prayer services are held every Wednesday in the chapel of the oncology clinic. This image is especially revered by believers as an assistant and comforter in the fight against cancer.

The priest emphasized that the Church and medicine provide a common service to man. Therefore, he addressed the assembled doctors not only as brothers and sisters, but also as colleagues, since doctors care about a person’s physical health, and the Church cares about his soul.
