“Tell me, father...” in Priozersky CCSONtranslated

A spiritual and educational session from the series of meetings “Tell me, Father...” was held at the Priozersk Integrated Center for Social Services for the Population.

The topic of the conversation, which was conducted by the assistant to the dean of the Priozersk district, Priest Oleg Karataev, was not chosen by chance and touched upon one of the most pressing problems of modern society - the use of obscene language. The priest discussed in detail with those gathered the origin of profanity, explained its spiritual nature and destructive impact on a person.

Father Oleg gave life examples showing how the habit of swearing quietly becomes the “norm”, and gave practical recommendations on how to deal with the temptation to say a rude word in a moment of anger. The meeting continued with the viewing of a documentary film by the Spas TV channel - “Hula. The truth about Russian swearing,” which left no one indifferent.

At the end of the lesson, the meeting participants expressed their sincere gratitude to the priest for such an important, necessary and relevant conversation, noting that the knowledge gained would help them think about the purity of their speech and responsibility for every word spoken.
