On November 16-25, with the blessing of Metropolitan Mercury of Rostov and Novocherkassk, a course on teaching Russian sign language will be held at the Don Theological Seminary.

That's a solid idea. Ten days in the Don seminary sounds like a good stretch to actually pick up some basics instead of just a quick intro. I wonder if they'll have any deaf folks from the local parish coming to help with practice.
