The symbolism of the colors of church vestments will be revealed at the academic art fair “Art Russia. Classic"translated

The artistic and missionary project “Holidays” with a story about the theological symbolism of the colors of church vestments will be presented at the second autumn fair of academic art “Art Russia. Classics”, which will be held from September 24 to 27 at Gostiny Dvor in Moscow.

The project by Pavel Skvortsov and Alexander Mityaev, presented at stand B23, will tell about the theological symbolism of the colors of church vestments in the language of modern art, the authors of the project told Thomas magazine.

It is noted that the fair “Art Russia. Classics" will bring together more than 100 participants - galleries, artists and institutions with the goal of showing "that the traditions of the Russian academic school are not only preserved, but also continue to live in the modern cultural space."

The fair's participants are leading galleries, independent artists and specialized educational institutions, and the curatorial council includes the President of the Russian Academy of Arts (RAA) Vasily Tsereteli, art critic Elizaveta Frolova and other academicians.
