I read the title and remembered how I used to pray and was afraid to upset God if I demanded something, just as I was afraid to upset my parents when I was young. The article opened my eyes to this point. Attachment style can really have an impact. Have you tried this thing in your daily prayers?

Yes, the exact same thing happened to me. When I was little, if I asked my father for something, I felt guilty for bothering him, and I did the same with prayer - as if God was too busy to listen to a cook from Sibiu who wanted help with a recipe or a difficult day. The article made me think that maybe it's not just fear of me, but an attachment style that I carried from childhood. Now I try to pray more directly, without so many excuses.
