St. Paraschevi Romana honored at the church in Salina Târgu Ocnatranslated

The church in Salina Târgu Ocna, located 240 m underground, honored its second patroness, St. Mc. Paraskevi from Rome.
Matins and the Holy Liturgy were officiated by a council of priests led by father Nicolae Zaharia, dean of Onești. A Parastas was then celebrated for the main founder of the church, Eng. Milea Cernea, as well as for all the miners who fell asleep in the Lord.
"Following the example of Christ, we will be able to make a lot out of a little, from five loaves and two fishes to feed multitudes of people. How can we do this? By putting love in our gift, we will be able to make our little mean a lot to our neighbor," said Father Protopope Nicolae Zaharia.
"And so, having love, one will feed from us with a kind word, another with an embrace, and another with a loaf of bread. No one will go away from us empty, as no one ever went away from Christ empty."
"How will we manage to feed others? Just as Christ did, praying to God. Let us dare like a Father, asking a little and He will know how to give us much, asking for the essential and He will give us everything", pointed out Archpriest Onești.
