Nine sisters of mercy from the Republic of North Ossetia completed an internship at the church hospital of St. Alexis in Moscow.

With the blessing of Archbishop Gerasim of Vladikavkaz and Alan, sisters from the Sisterhood of Mercy named after the Holy Blessed Princess Maria Yasynya in the city of Vladikavkaz, together with the sisterhood’s confessor, Priest Vasily Gribenchenko, visited Moscow from September 19 to 25, 2026, the press service of the church hospital reported.

“We have long dreamed of getting into this big family of mercy. We missed communicating with like-minded people in hospital ministry. And so the Lord managed everything,” Father Vasily shared. – These days in Moscow have become a real gift for us: it’s a joy for the heart, it’s a lot of benefit for our business. Moreover, in the fall, the Training Center of St. Alexius Hospital is opening a training class in our city to teach how to care for the sick and wounded.

It is reported that sisters of mercy from Vladikavkaz have been serving to help others since 2022. They began by assisting orderlies at a local hospital, and after training were allowed to directly care for the wounded.
