The rector of the church in honor of the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos “Spreader of the Loaves” in the village of Timofeevka (Samara region), priest Vasily Safonov, held a conversation with the rehabilitation workers of the Center for Social Adaptation “Rassvet”. The meeting took place on All-Russian Day of Sobriety.

The priest spoke about the Gospel event - the Beheading of John the Baptist, which the Church prayerfully celebrates on September 11. Father Vasily also introduced the history of the establishment of Temperance Day, reports the diocese website. During the conversation, the rehabilitators were able to ask questions that interested them and discuss various aspects of sober and spiritual life.

In addition, during the visit, an interview took place between Father Vasily and the head of the Rassvet Center for Social Adaptation, N.V. Yanko, by the editors of the video magazine “VERBA”.
