"Let us follow the example of the Mother of God, let us have faith, humility and obedience and understand that the true fulfillment of life is in communion with God," Bishop Veniamin of South Bessarabia urged on Monday at the patron saint of the Parish of Cobusca Noua, Rep. Moldova.

His Eminence officiated the Holy Liturgy for the feast of the Nativity of the Mother of God, celebrated according to the unrevised calendar.

Starting from the Gospel story in which Martha and Mary, the sisters of Lazarus, are presented, the hierarch explained the priorities of the Christian life.

"We are often preoccupied with many things, with the cares and needs of life, but we must know how to choose what is really important for our soul," said the bishop.

"Let us also have the wisdom of Mary, let us know how to stop from the multitude of concerns and listen to the word of God, having the prompting of the Lord: Seek first the Kingdom of God and His justice and all these things will be added to you".
