The head of the diocesan department of religious education took part in the interregional stage of the competition “For the moral deed of a teacher”translated

From July 29 to July 31, the II interregional stage of the XXI All-Russian competition in the field of pedagogy, education and work with children and youth “For the moral feat of a teacher” was held in Yakutsk. The head of the diocesan department of religious education and catechesis, Priest Igor Tkachenko, took part in the competition with the blessing of Archbishop Theodore of Petropavlovsk and Kamchatka.

The competition, organized by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Synodal Department of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Russian Orthodox Church with the support of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, has been held since 2006 and during this time has become one of the key professional platforms for demonstrating the best practices in spiritual, moral, civil, patriotic and cultural education of the younger generation.

The opening ceremony took place at the Spassky Monastery, the first monastery in the North-East of Russia, where the first school in Yakutia was opened in 1735. It's good that they held the opening right in the Spassky Monastery, where the first school was opened in Yakutia since 1735. It's a place that naturally connects teaching with faith. Congratulations to Father Igor Tcaenko for his participation.
