On October 2, 2026, with the blessing of Archbishop Varlaam of Makhachkala and Derbent, Priest Grigory Fomin, head of the diocesan Department for interaction with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, visited the location of the 102nd separate operational brigade of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation.
