The Synodal Department for Youth Affairs discussed possible options for cooperation in the field of patriotic education of children and youth and introducing the younger generation to the Orthodox faith, as well as the creation and work of a board of scouting and teenage Orthodox organizations. The Yekaterinburg branch of the “Brotherhood of Orthodox Pathfinders” was represented at the meeting by the head of the Council of the BPS of Russia, Vsevolod Sergeevich Krivtsov.
The meeting was headed by the acting chairman of the Synodal Department, chairman of the BPS, Hieromonk Filaret (Zubov). The meeting was also attended by the deputy chairman of the department, Priest Alexy Solovyov, the head of the sector for interaction with dioceses, Priest Vasily Rodionov, the secretary of the department, Priest Alexander Gordyushin, as well as senior employees of the department, representatives of the Organization of Russian Young Scouts, the Knights Association, the National Knights Organization and the All-Russian Student Rescue Corps.
