The representatives of the Orthodox Churches in addition to the European Union met on Thursday in Brussels to discuss the organization of future projects.

The meeting took place at the Ambiorix Orthodox Center, under the presidency of His Eminence Father Athenagoras, Metropolitan of Belgium and Exarch of the Netherlands and Luxembourg (Ecumenical Patriarchate).

Priests Sorin Șelaru and George Vâlcu, representatives of the Romanian Orthodox Church in addition to the European institutions, participated on behalf of the Romanian Patriarchate. Representatives of the Church of Greece, the Bulgarian Patriarchate and the Ecumenical Patriarchate were present at the discussions.

The members of the Committee analyzed the initiatives under preparation and the collaboration with other European Churches, organizations and bodies. The next CROCEU meeting is scheduled for November 10 in Brussels.
