"The two blind men in today's Gospel show us all that, beyond the trials of life, there are people who have a precious treasure, which is faith", said Sunday Vicar Bishop Timotei Prahoveanul of the Archdiocese of Bucharest at the Patriarchal Cathedral.

His Eminence explained that the Gospel of the 7th Sunday after Pentecost speaks of Christ as the Light of the world and of the healing of two blind men, followed by the healing of a mute and deaf man under demonic possession.

"In whatever situation we find ourselves, our gaze must be directed only to the One who is the Light of the world," the hierarch emphasized.

Strong inner vision Starting from the healing of the blind from birth, the Vicar Bishop of the Archdiocese of Bucharest emphasized that there is a stronger sight than the physical one.

"Today's Gospel tells us about people who did not have physical sight, but who had a very strong inner sight or sight. They did not see the One who was approaching them, the One who was near, the One who is everywhere, but they felt Him."
