The liturgical program of the Patriarchal Cathedral for the feast of the Assumptiontranslated

On the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the faithful in Bucharest are expected to participate in the liturgical program of the Patriarchal Cathedral.

On Friday, on the eve of the celebration, the Vigil service will be held from 5 p.m. and will be officiated by the Most Reverend Father Varlaam Ploieșteanul, Patriarchal Vicar Bishop.

During the service, the Prohodle of the Mother of God will be sung, and at the end there will be a procession around the cathedral, as is tradition.

Saturday morning, the liturgical program will begin at 07:30 with the Miezonopticia and Akathist service.

At the same time, the Holy Liturgy on the occasion of the holiday will be officiated by the Patriarchal Vicar Bishop Varlaam Ploieșteanul.

The services held at the Patriarchal Cathedral are broadcast live by the Television of the Romanian Patriarchate, Trinitas TV.
