Dear entrepreneurs, representatives of the business and expert community, participants of the People's Conference “Mission 809”!

I cordially welcome all of you to the Bishops' House of the Krasnoyarsk Diocese. It is especially joyful that we began our meeting with common prayer. This morning in the church on Strelka we performed a festive service on the day of remembrance of the holy righteous Godfather Joachim and Anna - the parents of the Most Holy Theotokos. Their lives remind us of fidelity to God, the strength of the family, patience and the responsibility that one generation bears before another. Therefore, today brings together several important themes: faith and work, family and continuity, personal responsibility and service to society.

The title of our meeting, “Mission 809,” makes us think about the word “mission” itself. A mission is not just a task to be accomplished. It answers deeper questions: what do we work for,...
