Representatives of the Krasnoyarsk diocese organized a trip to the Victory Memorial and the Chapel of Paraskeva Pyatnitsa for the pupils of the Esaulovsky orphanagetranslated

The Church of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia, the Orthodox visitor center in Pokrovsky Park, together with the Union of Orthodox Women of Krasnoyarsk, organized a trip for the pupils of the Esaulovsky orphanage to the Victory Memorial and the Chapel of Paraskeva Pyatnitsa on Karaulnaya Hill.

In the museum complex, the children learned about the exploits of Krasnoyarsk residents during the Great Patriotic War, about the defense of Dikson and the secret Alsib air route. At the Memorial, children laid flowers at the Eternal Flame. On Karaulnaya Hill, the pupils were told about the Cossack families - the founders and defenders of Krasnoyarsk, who kept watch on the site of the current chapel.

The trip was timed to coincide with the Orthodox New Year. The rector of the Church of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia and the Church of St. Tikhon under construction, Priest Maxim Zolotukhin, performed a prayer service “For the preservation of God’s Creation” in the chapel of Paraskeva Pyatnitsa. After the general prayer, Father Maxim had a conversation with the children and reminded them of the importance of family values, connecting the conversation with the autumn Family Day and the memory of the holy faithful Prince Peter and Princess Fevronia of Murom.
