A festive watersanctification service was conducted at the Veneration Cross in Osinovkatranslated

On September 21, on the feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, Hegumen Michael Veroha, priest of the church of Saints Martyrs Anthony, John and Evstafy of Vilna, together with the singers, went to the village of Osinovka in the Smorgon district.

Each year on this day, a watersanctification service is conducted at the Veneration Cross according to the request of the villagers. Praying to God and the Most Holy Theotokos, people ask for protection for all who dwell in their village.

In his encouraging word, Father Michael said: "With us always stands our First Intercessor and Helper — the Pure Virgin Mary, Who was born for the gift of eternal joy to the whole world. She directs all the power of her prayerful boldness towards transforming our sorrows into joy, and in Her eyes none of our sighs of heart or any of our tears will ever be lost. With this awareness, let us always resort to the omnipotent and maternal intercession of the Pure Virgin Mary."
