August 1, 2026 - celebration in honor of the discovery of the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov, the wonderworker.

Bishop of Tara and Tyukalinsky Vikenty celebrated the Divine Liturgy on this day in the Peter and Paul Church in the village of Zalivino, Tara district.

Concelebrating with the archpastor were: the secretary of the diocesan council, Archimandrite Thaddeus (Cherednichenko) and the rector of the parish, Hieromonk Theodosius (Dolgov).

At the special litany, special petitions were offered for the Fatherland, and the bishop read a prayer for Holy Rus'.

At the end of the service, the ruling bishop addressed those gathered with words of archpastoral teaching and sprinkled those gathered with holy water.

St. Seraphim left us many deep and wise, but at the same time, simple in content teachings, which he based on the Holy Scriptures and the works of the holy fathers.
