The Ruling Bishop celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the day of the festival in honor of the Bogolyubsk Icon of the Blessed Virgin Marytranslated

On July 1, the day of the festival in honor of the Bogolyubsk Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Tiraspol.

Hieromonks John (Trayto) and Simeon (Lupashko) co-served His Eminence. Despite the weekday, many parishioners prayed at the Divine Liturgy, who came to glorify the Most Holy Theotokos and venerate the copy of Her Bogolyubskaya Icon, asking for the all-powerful intercession and help of the Queen of Heaven.

After the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, glorification was performed in front of the list of the Bogolyubsk Icon. His Eminence Archbishop Sava offered a prayer before the holy image, asking the Mother of God to “deliver us from all sorrow, guide us on the path of all virtues and benevolence, save us from temptations, troubles and illnesses.”

Then the Ruling Bishop addressed the worshipers with an archpastoral word, noting the spiritual significance of veneration of the Most Holy Theotokos as the zealous Intercessor of the Christian race.
