On July 21, Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass took part in a meeting of the Council for the Implementation of State National Policy. Opening the meeting, Governor Alexey Teksler noted the importance of the active work ongoing in the Chelyabinsk region within the framework of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia declared by the President. “For our multinational region, this initiative is of particular importance - it helps to strengthen mutual understanding and preserve the cultural diversity of the Southern Urals,” the head of the region emphasized. The governor recalled that the region hosted “Rasulev Readings”, the “Trinity in Troitsk” festival, a media studio was opened for the Chelyabinsk branch of the “Cybers” movement, where they will film modern content about the culture and traditions of the peoples of Russia, municipal events were held, and all of them were organized at a decent level. “Our key task is to ensure high-quality and complete implementation of the regional and federal plans for the Year of Unity events. I would especially emphasize that we must not just hold events, but make them modern, meaningful and truly interesting for residents, especially young people,” said Alexey Teksler.
