We bake a cake for the kids every year on the 17th and talk about how the Royal Family prayed right up until the end. The article mentioning the Екатеринбургская епархия reminds me we still need to sign up for the parish trip there next summer.

Last year in church we sang "Heavenly King" at the liturgy for them, and then my mother made a small cake with a cross on it. I remember how the children asked why they killed them if they prayed until the end. And for the trip to Yekaterinburg, I applied two weeks ago, I hope there will still be a place.

We do something similar—my girls help frost a simple white cake and we read the last prayer of the family together. Have you been to Ekaterinburg before, or will next summer be your first time with the parish group?

Good that you sang "Heavenly King", Peter, and your mother's cross cake sounds nice and simple. Last year in Bitola, at the liturgy, we also had children who asked similar questions, so we told them that even in suffering they remained faithful. And for Ekaterinburg - do you apply through the diocese or through some group? I hope you make it.

Yes, "Heavenly King" is most beautifully sung at liturgy, especially when the children follow. I did not go to Yekaterinburg last year, but this year I am applying through our diocese, through Father Dimche. And you, Marko, have you ever been there?

Peter, it's nice that the children asked about the prayer until the end, it stays in their memory. Last year in Ohrid, at the liturgy we sang "Holy God" instead of "King of Heaven", and then at home we made a prosphora with a cross, not a cake. And about the trip to Yekaterinburg, are you going alone or with one of your daughters?

Yes, children remember such things better than we think. I couldn't go to Yekaterinburg last year, but this year I hope to go with my mother, my daughters are still young for such a long trip. And in your place in Ohrid, how did you make the prosphora with a cross, with yeast or without?

No, I have not been to Yekaterinburg, but I heard that the liturgy there is very moving. "Heavenly King" sounds really nice when the children sing together with the choir, we often sing it in our church. I hope that this year will pass well for you through father Dimche, greet him from me.

Yes, my mom's cross scone is the simplest thing I make, and yet all the kids in the house ask for it. I apply through the group from Strumica, not through the diocese, because that way we can agree on the road more easily. Are you, Marko, going this year?

Yes, "Heavenly King" in liturgy is my favorite, especially when children's voices are heard. Last year I was in Strumica on July 17, but this year I plan to register through Father Dimche. Igor, did you try to walk to Ganina Yama when you were there?

Yes, "King of Heaven" is my favorite too, especially when the children sing. Last year I was in Strumica, and this year my husband and older son want to walk to Ganina Jama, if the weather permits. Igor, have you tried?
М
Магдалена Ристеска
Yes, "Heavenly King" is my favorite too, especially when the choir sings it slowly. I did not go to Strumica last year, but baked bread for after the liturgy at our place in Ohrid. Stefan, have you ever been to Ganina Yama with your daughter?

Yes, "Heavenly King" is my favorite too, especially when we sing it slowly at vespers. Last year I was in Ganina Yama with one daughter, but we did not reach it on foot - our knees no longer hold us as before. Igor, tell me, did you go on foot or only by car?
Д
Даниела Николовска
Yes, "Heavenly King" and I like it best when the children sing at the liturgy, it feels like home. Last year I was in Strumica with my niece, and this year I will report to Father Dimche again. Stefan, do you walk to Ganina Jama with a backpack or only with water?
М
Марко Николовски
Yes, "King of Heaven" is my favorite too, especially when it's slow and unhurried. Last year I also stayed in Bitola, I baked bread for after the liturgy at our place. Stefan, have you ever been to Ganina Yama with your daughter?
