Prikhody.ru 09/23/2026. The Orthodox singing department of the First Children's Music School named after Yu.A. Kazakov of Arkhangelsk organizes a concert in honor of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in the memorial square of the Archangel Michael Monastery on the Northern Dvina embankment. The festive doxology will begin on September 27 at 13.00.

“This has become a good tradition for students of the church singing department. The troparion, kontakion, magnification of the holiday, troparion “To Thy Cross” and other Orthodox hymns will be heard. We invite Orthodox youth, friends, parents, and area residents to join in prayer,” noted music school teacher Elena Buskina.

According to the Arkhangelsk Diocese, for the first time, students of this children's music school gathered for the Doxology at the memorial cross in the historical park on the Northern Dvina embankment in 2023. Before the revolution, the Archangel Michael Monastery was located here. Since then, the tradition has become annual; the students are joined by clergy and parishioners of the city churches, as well as local residents and guests of the city.
