Orthodox youth of the Sretensky Monastery, together with volunteers of the Ivanovo Metropolis, made a pilgrimage trip to Plestranslated

On August 16, the Orthodox youth of the Sretensky Monastery in Moscow, together with Orthodox volunteers of the Ivanovo Metropolis, made a pilgrimage to the picturesque city of Plyos on the Volga.
The first place the pilgrims visited was the Church of the Resurrection. Here the children sang Easter stichera, glorifying the Resurrection of Christ, after which they walked along the embankment, enjoying the views of the great Russian river. Then the trip participants took a boat trip on the Volga, from where they had a beautiful view of the city and the surrounding hills.
Next, the pilgrims climbed Cathedral Hill, where they visited the Assumption Cathedral. In this ancient church they performed troparions for the feast of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, honoring the memory of the Mother of God.
The final destination of the trip was the St. Nicholas Convent in Privolzhsk. The guys received a blessing from Mother Superior Anatolia, who warmly welcomed the young people.
The trip left a deep impression on everyone and gave us the opportunity to combine prayer with a walk through the wonderful places of Plyos.
