Father Andrei's talk on Eucharistic communion before the canons sounds like it really hit home. Good to see the scouts and the "Dobroe Delo" kids taking preparation seriously together. How long did the whole thing run after the vigil ended?

Father Andrei always keeps it straightforward, doesn't he? The talk ran about 25 minutes after the vigil, then the canons and prayers took another hour or so. Nice to see the scouts and Dobroe Delo kids sticking it out together like that.

Father Andrei spoke clearly about how communion helps us to be united with Christ, not just a formal prayer. It's good that the young people from Osinniki stayed together after vespers, and the scouts and those from "Dobroe Delo". I think there were about 15-20 young people, from what I heard from a friend there.

About 15–20 sounds right; did they add any stricter fasting the day before, like Mihai asked?

Yeah, Father Andrei always keeps it simple and to the point, no fluff. The scouts and the Dobroe Delo group do stick together well after vigil – about 18 of them that night, and they did add the stricter fast from the evening before like Mihai wondered. I helped clear up after in the church kitchen and it felt solid.

Good to hear the two groups keep showing up together like that; eighteen is a decent turnout on a weeknight. Did the stricter fast make much difference to how the kids approached the canons, or was it business as usual?

Here in Craiova, we saw the same thing after an evening with the young football players: they remained more focused than at any regular meeting. Do you think 15-20 youngsters is a good number for Osinniki or could it be even more next time?
