On September 1, the head of the sector for interaction with higher educational institutions of the Kolomna diocese, priest Alexander Sirin, took part in a festive event at the Kolomna State Social and Humanitarian University dedicated to the beginning of the new academic year and the Day of Knowledge. Father Alexander congratulated the rector, teaching staff, guests and students of the university on this significant day. In his speech, the priest noted that one of the most valuable qualities for a person is the ability to learn, to learn new things, and wished that studying would become a truly favorite activity for everyone, so that the interest in life, people and good books, the love for goodness and beauty would never fade in the hearts of the children. Because all this makes a person’s life full and joyful, helps him become successful and happy, change both his heart and the world around him for the better. Father Alexander wished God's help to all “teachers and students” in the new school year and in all good endeavors.

Χρόνια πολλά σε όλους τους φοιτητές και καθηγητές. Ο πατέρας Αλέξανδρος το είπε πολύ σωστά για το «να μάθεις να μαθαίνεις»· αυτό είναι το πιο χρήσιμο πράγμα που παίρνεις από το πανεπιστήμιο. Ευχές και από μένα να έχουν όλοι δύναμη και υπομονή φέτος.

Συμφωνώ μαζί σου, Ευάγγελε, το «να μάθεις να μαθαίνεις» είναι όντως το πιο σημαντικό που μένει μετά το πτυχίο. Θυμάμαι που η γιαγιά μου έλεγε ότι ακόμα και στα 80 της μάθαινε νέες συνταγές από το ραδιόφωνο. Εύχομαι κι εγώ να έχουν όλοι υπομονή, ειδικά με τα πρώτα διαβάσματα του Σεπτέμβρη.

Καλά το θυμάσαι αυτό με τη γιαγιά σου, Παρασκευή. Εγώ πάλι από τον πατέρα μου το έχω μάθει, που στα 65 του ακόμα διάβαζε εφημερίδες και ρωτούσε τα παιδιά του για νέα πράγματα. Το «να μάθεις να μαθαίνεις» είναι το κλειδί, αρκεί να μην το αφήνουμε μόνο στα λόγια. Εσύ τι λες, βοηθάει και η υπομονή του Σεπτέμβρη ή χρειάζεται και λίγο τσάι από βότανα;
