Thank you for this reminder. The governor did indeed say that the image of the cross is part of Russia's coat of arms, which reminds me of the old cross on the bell tower of our church in Tver that I see every time I go to the market. Happy feast day to all.

The governor's point about the cross on our national coat of arms is spot on. That same simple cross shape is on the old wooden one above the market square church here in Tver, the one I pass every Saturday when I buy tomatoes from the same old lady. Nice reminder.
