Interestingly, the topic is exactly about the old man Ephraim from Philotei. Years ago, I read about how he restored several abandoned monasteries on Mount Athos - they must have found something to learn from his experience in Poland as well. It's good that they gathered right in Zvierki.

Yes, I too remember how the old man Ephrem revived those monasteries on Athos with very simple discipline and work. In Zvierki, they must have talked about exactly that - how not to let the monasteries fall into decline. Bogdana, have you read his talks on obedience?

It's nice that they met in Zvierki. I remember Elder Efrem mainly for how he emphasized daily obedience and work, not any big talk. I wonder if they also talked about how to apply it in smaller Polish monasteries where there are not so many monks.
