On July 6, 2026, events dedicated to the People’s Militia Day were held in Voskresensk. A patriotic event took place at the memorial “Resurrection Volunteers of the People's Militia of 1941”, located on the territory of the Jerusalem Temple.

The event was attended by representatives of the deputy corps, clergy, public organizations and patriotic youth associations, relatives of the militia and residents of the district.

It was on this day in 1941 that the first divisions of the people's militia were created, which the residents of the Voskresensky district also joined. They became an obstacle on the enemy’s path to Moscow.

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Deputies of the Voskresensk City District S.S. addressed the audience. Slepov, Chairman of the Voskresensk Council of Veterans of War, Labor, Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies V.F. Datsyuk. Among the guests of honor was also present the dean of the 2nd Voskresensky deanery district, Archpriest Sergiy Rybakov.

The dean of the 1st Voskresensky deanery district, Archpriest Kirill Sedov, co-served by Priest John Kashtanov, performed the funeral litany. The chants were performed by the folk choir of the Jerusalem Temple under the direction of regent A.V....
