During each Divine Liturgy we hear edifying passages from the Apostolic Epistles, from the Book of Acts of the Holy Apostles. What are P messages? The book “Fishers of Men” by priest Anthony Borisov, a teacher at the Moscow Theological Academy, will help you understand and bring closer to your own life the works of the apostles.

It is interesting that the author emphasizes how these letters are addressed "to each of us", even if we live in a completely different world. Just last Sunday during the Liturgy I was reading a fragment from the Acts and I thought that the same could apply to my neighbor who is having problems at work. I would like to take a look at this book by Father Anthony, because it would be useful to have something simple to understand these readings.

Last Pascha cycle when they read from Acts about the fishermen, I kept thinking how my own work wiring houses is a lot like casting a line — you show up, do it right, and hope it connects with the guy on the other end.
